Description
This blade improves chance of critical strikes.

Abilities
Critical Accumulation
Every Attack increases critical strike chance and critical strike damage by 1.5% up to a maximum of 30%. The bonus is lost when a critical strike is made. The bonus is bound to the item.

Planar Gate's critical rate and damage will increase infinitely if taking this item.

Oh, right, somehow I thought it was just critical chance, not damage, so I was ignoring the bug (because it's funny). Infinite crit damage is a bit too destructive.

but can you make it stack faster to let it be more useful?

most Unique items are completely useless though

I could fix the thing with Planar Gate and resetAttackCrits by just removing resetAttackCrits from it. The reseAttackCrits call in Planar Gate's onAttack used to serve the function of removing a critical text of 0!, but criticals of 0 damage are no longer shown anyways. I just like broken things like that, so I wouldn't fix that - somebody else might, if they cared. These broken things are the only things with a slight scent of synergy, and I don't want to remove that entirely.

As for the 'legit' case, unless a tower has negative crit chance (Realist builder), a 30% cap doesn't really do anything. The chance to hit the cap is about 2-3% without any additional crit chance modifiers. With Realist it's like 40%, but it's hardly useful without a cap there anyway. I figured I chose a sensible cap that still allows Planar Gate have a special item that gives 30% crit chance (and crit damage), which is quite valuable by our balance constants.

P.S. I didn't reapprove this item immediately because it's garbage. I just put in a 'fix' that lets this item be approved if we build the next version.
