Description
Whenever this magical trident makes a devastating hit it creates some gold.

Abilities
Golden Hit
Grants 0.2 gold on each critical hit. Each multicrit grants additional gold.

I don't think this item is op. Since you need 5 attacks for a single gold... And the most towers have less tahn 10% crit chance without items.

Humm... perhaps to balance it you could say that every critical hit you get 0.2 gold, but each multi crit earns you another 0.2 gold so in the later stages of the game you can get more gold form towers which can multi-crit.
example 1 critical = 0.2 gold
multi crit = 0.4 gold
2xmulti crit = 0.6 gold and so on...


BUT having said that in the later stages of the game money is no issue!!! it is plentiful, so i see no issue in saying you get 0.5 gold per critical hit since you want money early on in the game not later on, because later on if you have a tower which can critical like crazy (jungle stalker, furlbog, brazier, etc...) the money doesn't make much difference.
If this is meant for the early stages of the game perhaps it should be periodic like every time the tower attacks 10 times (5 or 8 times at level 25) you gain 1 gold that way you can get gold in the early stages of the game and as cedi said the critical chance is slim in the beginning.

The thing with gold is that it's only useful early on.
The thing with crit is that it's really low early on.

Combine those two and I don't see this item being used... ever.

I agree. I would never waste a slot on my towers for this item. 0.2 gold is like nothing, especially if it only triggers on a crit hit, which is like never in a early game tower. You're better off with almost ANY +gold/plunder item early game. Mid/late game where your carry will start to crit more, 0.2 gold means even less. And any of the other +gold find items will generate more income, especially those that give % base bonuses.

This item is waste of a slot. I would be so pissed if I get one dropped for me in game.

a pro is that more early dropping uniques make it easier to fuse better uniques early ;) (cause you don't have to go through the rares)

but yeah that's more of a fun fact :D

Really Weak, with a capital W.

I got it around level 4 and it produce something like 3 gold in 10 waves. The problem is that most towers have a crit chance of 5% that early. So you get 0.2 gold every 20 attacks. (I switched it with a common item after some waves, only good it did was that I know had a unique item to recombine.)


I think the gold gain should be increased to something like 1-2 gold. To make sure it won't be to strong a limit could be added, something like: Can only give Wave_number gold per wave.

Why not increase the goldgain in relation to goldgain on tower or make it 150 aoe...

this item is so crappy, compared to vampiric skull (situational) or backpack (great always) this item is so situational unless you have crit towers/barbarian it's worse than the lvl 5 uncommon item (you can swap it and get 11-12 gold always + extra exp) and it's a lvl 0 UNIQUE.

This item feels like it's just there to lower the chances of getting Backpack.

I think I've gotten 1 Backpack in my last 10 games and a Golden Trident in pretty much every of them.
