Currently they're not that useful. Yes in theory you have 7.5% bonus damage potentially on 9 towers, but it's only for once race. You could be waiting 5, 10, 15 waves for that race to appear. By that time you've put another item on the tower and forgotten about the sword.

As I've said before, there are a LOT of gimmicky rare-class items which sound interesting but they're all too weak, or just don't perform as well as expected.

I think these rare-class items need reworking, or at very least a sizeable boost:

Nerminds Eye -> Not that useful I always keep at least 1-2 of these on my aura/support towers
Sword of Decay -> Good item, I always have some towers without items(Basic Knowlegde) Worthless, imo. If you need this to survive a wave, you've got bigger problems
Sword of Reckoning -> SameWorthless, imo. If you need this to survive a wave, you've got bigger problems
Divine Shield -> Useless Useless
Binding Chains -> Useless Useless
Liquid Gold -> Great item, almost no drawback on level 25 towers Decent item, although by the time you get your carry to 25, you usually have better
Chameleons Soul (needs per level boost) -> Great item Pretty useless, imo. Most uncommon items give equal or better bonuses
Spiderling -> Not that useful Useless
Trainee's Helmet -> Best rare item Best Rare item
Hippogryph Egg -> Should be good but for some reason the hippogryph doesn't hit it's target It's great to have early/mid game. Esp vs mass
The Sucona -> Can be really useful just like Axe of Decapitation, Hand of Ruin and Combat Gloves If you need it to survive a nature wave, you've got bigger problems

I always seem to recombine these items and rarely use them.

Please don't take offense if these are your items, I respect everyone who has put the time and effort into making anything for YouTD. This is my opinion based on experience and observation of other players.

wow , this is a nice idea of upgrading sword of reckoning , though the percentage of the damage increase a bit but still , its good..
