That is actually quite nice, how about 0.25% increase a level instead? 0.1% is.. a bit low, it wont really affect damage that much ;)

Well, its an aura and on max level it will grant an additional 2.5% dmg to all towers within 200 range.

So thats 7.5% on lvl 25 tower to about 8 towers around the tower with the item, thats 8 x 7,5 = 60% dmg against undead units if it were one tower. Of which 20% is from leveling.

I'm always dissapointed when i receive one of these 2 swords, maybe give a little bonus to damage

Did you guys notice how f***ing weak this and the other one is? It gives you a 7.5% damage aura for _ONE_ of the races. So this item has a 7.5 / 5 = 1.5% damage aura for 600 gold. WTF. The crit hammers price is 150 ...

In the last game I played I got this item for 5 uncommen items. I felt like: "Yeay I got that imba uber item. And then I began looking for the undo button.
I would rather get a small sword then this one.

increase it to ~10% and buff the aoe to 1000 or something, or just leave aoe and buff it to ~20%

i like that, sounds interesting, but essentially then it'd just become a regular +dmgaura tower, because it'd change as soon as the tower attacks..
HOWEVER, following from this idea, the item could have a cd/delay, where it changes which race the bonus is against, but only after its owner has attacked that race creep a few times, or after a 5 sec time delay.

So I'm not the only one who tries to recombine the aura swords as soon as I get them? :P

Currently they're not that useful. Yes in theory you have 7.5% bonus damage potentially on 9 towers, but it's only for once race. You could be waiting 5, 10, 15 waves for that race to appear. By that time you've put another item on the tower and forgotten about the sword.

As I've said before, there are a LOT of gimmicky rare-class items which sound interesting but they're all too weak, or just don't perform as well as expected.

I think these rare-class items need reworking, or at very least a sizeable boost:

Nerminds Eye
Sword of Decay
Sword of Reckoning
Divine Shield
Binding Chains
Liquid Gold
Chameleons Soul (needs per level boost)
Spiderling
Trainee's Helmet
Hippogryph Egg
The Sucona

I always seem to recombine these items and rarely use them.

Please don't take offense if these are your items, I respect everyone who has put the time and effort into making anything for YouTD. This is my opinion based on experience and observation of other players.

Sword of Reckoning -> Same

Spiderling -> Not that useful
Trainee's Helmet -> Best rare item
Hippogryph Egg -> Should be good but for some reason the hippogryph doesn't hit it's target
The Sucona -> Can be really useful just like Axe of Decapitation, Hand of Ruin and Combat Gloves

I always seem to recombine these items and rarely use them.

Please don't take offense if these are your items, I respect everyone who has put the time and effort into making anything for YouTD. This is my opinion based on experience and observation of other players.
