The next YouTD version is ready for Christmas.

Changelog YouTD v1.09
Important!
With wc3 patch 1.27b, savecodes are now written to Warcraft's 'CustomMapData' directory. As a result, we've dropped 'save' from the directory the codes are written to.
This means:
- If you have 1.27b:
- Savecodes for YouTD v1.09 will end up at "Warcraft III/CustomMapData/YouTD/..."
- Savecodes for YouTD versions prior to 1.09 will end up at "Warcraft III/CustomMapData/save/YouTD/..."
- If you do not yet have 1.27b:
- Savecodes for YouTD v1.09 will end up at "Warcraft III/YouTD/..."
- Savecodes for YouTD versions prior to 1.09 will end up at "Warcraft III/save/YouTD/..." (where you were used to seeing them.)
We've also taken this opportunity to tidy up the savecode file to display newlines properly on naive windows editors (like notepad). It also now writes the code into the backlog files, as well as taking note of player level.
Saved codes are also preceded with '-load' to make them easier to search for with your code-loading tools.

Previous Bugs
-Fixed items leaking when players were defeated in some cases.
-Fixed two common causes of crashes when loading savegames: strings in some of the quest logs being too long; wc3 not saving lightnings properly in the savefile. Note there are likely still other causes as of yet unkown to us, but now there is at least a chance you'll be able to save and load your games.
-Fixed getCurrentArmorDamageReduction to return negative results when armor is negative and respect the -20 armor hard cap

Chat Commands
-New command: '-autooil' (or '-ao'). Can be used to make oils of certain types automatically apply themselves to chosen towers. See in-game quest log for details.
-New command: '-trust'. A shorthand command that can be used in place of '-cede', '-allow all' and sharing control with allies.
-New command: '-showcrits'. Toggles displaying floating crits. A way to reduce clutter later on. Might increase performance minimally.

Builders
-Couple of new builders added. Play to discover their abilities.
-Iron Maiden: Life bonuses no longer divided by team size.
-Elementalist: Replaced refunds for first three researches with +65 starting force points.
-Removed builder food costs. Starting food adjusted from 60 to 55 such that the net change is zero.

Miscellaneous
-Quest logs rearranged to address aforementioned save/load bug.
-Improved level generation at the start of the game, reducing spikes. Also now has a fancy progress bar!
-Slightly reduced harshness of diminishing returns for positive values.
-Income now caps at wave 120 and creep bounty caps at wave 80.
-Made calcAttackCrit functions respect the hard 80% crit cap that regular attack crits have. Previously, certain abilities could have a 100% crit chance (no multicrit).
-calcAttackCrit can no longer return a crit for towers with zero multicrit. Note that all the towers and items using calcAttackCrit have been updated to use calcAttackMulticrit, which already followed these rules (+ can multicrit), so this and the previous point are mostly moot. The calcAttackCrit functions are preserved in case there's some yet unthought use for them.
-Raised limit on bonus round creepspawns from 200K to 20M (should take a whole while longer to get to that spam of Level completedLevel completedLevel completedLevel completedLevel completedLevel completed).
-Made tower multiboard overall damage display respect the +390624 maximum for green numbers
-Made getCurrentAttackDamageWithBonus function respect the +390624 maximum for green numbers
-Cleaned up some inconsistencies in builder descriptions and horadric cube recipes.

Behind the Scenes
-Improved efficiency of distance comparison calculations.
-Improved efficiency of string usage in crit floating texts.
-Interpolated projectiles' movement now happens before lifetime check, fixing some oddities in behavior with avertDestruction.
-Rewrote the cube recipe code to be cleaner and allow more interesting recipes.

We've (group of 6) probably played two games per day since Christmas Eve (about 2-3 hours per game). Thanks guys for the fun and frustration!

is there an issue with the save system?

Played 2 games and didnt get the exp because the savefile was not replaced.

Unless you played online for example, ENTgaming, or have a replay (or a screenshot) saved on one of your team members' computers, the answer is NO.
And by the way, this thread was for new release (v1.09) of the Youtd map. :P
