Damn, if people would stop opting to spend hundreds replacing their computer to play SC, someone qualified would have taken over CF a long time ago. When the next Blizzard whatever is released, Gex will have to find somebody to take over CF on SC (assuming it has begun by that time). Nothing will ever develop because everybody will continue to abandon their games to pursue the latest thing. Which is fine, except when SC kidnaps all of the damn coders!

This is the type of information that should be shared around the web.

I want (and can) translate YouTD on Russian language. So plz give what needed to be translate and I"ll do this. I have many friends in many servers who play in it without understanding english. So, if you don't mind... I will be happy to help. Because YouTD is more then map. More then TD. I'm not greate in english, but I greate in russian, and I'm not alone =)

Almost forgot my little idea. Im beatmaker, and I can write soundtrack or something for YouTD/(any other) with great pleasure.

I speak fluent Russian. If the admins give you permission to translate, I can help since you said you are not that good at English.

Isn't translating this map kind of crazy? So much work with every new release

Gex you pissing me off... Why you cry about "broken hardware" if real reason is that you just tired from developing your projects and now go away. Damn man, say.: "That's it, I GTFO, somebody take my job and continue". That cry shit about hardware, man you are IT specialist or what? Don't know about BACKUP?

CastleFight will die. And that's a shame on you, bcs CF was one of the BEST projects what you have done.

No more to say anything. Damn!

I have the same experience and I told that to the interviewer and I think he was thinking about the same thing as you lol.

Truth is when you're so focused on doing your stuff, you forget to backup. That's why there is always a project manager that does not seem to do anything in a company. Not to mention there is software to do automatic backups.

But for personal projects, I simply do not have so much money to buy multiple hard disks or thumb drives. My internet speed is also slow so uploading to the web is quite a pain. Then of course I could use skydrive to upload stuff automatically or even git for the source codes but I was too lazy to learn and set it up when I was figuring out stuff for my own projects.

geX, I'm terribly sorry to hear that. I experienced this (in a less dramatic form) a few times, going from broken floppy disks, to scratched CDs to broken memory sticks, so I can really feel your pain. What I really can't understand is people ranting about you. Big thank you for creating one of the most challenging, inspiring and simply BEST tower defenses out there, ever. And all this in your free time.

Personally I use a free bitbucket git repository (with sourcetree client on windows/tower client on mac) for my projects. If you don't give a damn about atlassian having access to your code, I can really recommend it. Also, git is so much nicer to work with than SVN or similar stuff. I really wouldn't want to miss it anymore. You can even commit your changes to your local git if network speed is an issue, and push to the remote anytime you have a good internet connection.
