sweet!. the moment i saw this tower, i thought about Elemental TD, and then i read your Comment ^^. This was one of my favorite towers in the game :P.

also would increase the range to 1500-1800, since this tower's damage is based of range, it should have a great range aswell.

an idea : you could make it that this tower will target the creep thats furthest away from this tower(or closest)

idont think that i would want the tower to prefer any target to attack because it is also good at hitting far as well as near targets. depending on what u are expecting ^^ and why i dont want to improve the range i simply do not like highranged towers exept in storm and i think 1000 is a quite nice range ( besides that everything is easy to calculate then :-P ) and for me iron is a close range element which should not support long ranged towers

if you think about it like that, wouldnt it make more sense for the tower to deal more damage , the CLOSER the creep is? That would fit the "iron is close range" idea, aswell as the "lasers". since they lose theyr focus, the further the creep is :P. ( all just suggestions ofcourse)

Some Tooltip mistakes:

Advanced iron tower that will deal more damage !!!t!!! units further away and slow creeps near it. Can release a huge attack after charging it up

'Big Bertha' !!!!!Realoded!!!!!

anybody knows the model path used by the cannon in battle tanks with high range and the green misslie which u often pick when playing the hero building towers it has the recharge life icon
Edit : whats wrong with 'Big Bertha' Reloaded ?

I just want to agree one earlier post. Laser focus decreases the further the target is away and so on.

Also when i think of a flying fortress i think of Men walking/living arround on it, all using different weapons, or have it atleast have more then one ship cannon. I think the Airplane "Flying Fortress" had some bombs, machine guns, maybe a Grenade Luncher like modern Spectre and so on. I think more of a multishot theme with different abilitys added.
But it's your tower :D but maybe really change Damage to the closer the unit is, or make it another attacktype. Maybe a Railgun :P nobody would notice the difference but it would be good for the realistic thinkin people here :P

Edit says: Gauß cannon > Railgun :D

Okay, cool tower. Here are my thoughts:

  • Tooltip:
    Quote:
    Laser Beam
    On attack the tower will deal energy damage equal to the distance to the target * 2.1. The target will be slowed by up to 30% for 0.5 seconds.
    I think the following tooltip is much more understandable:
    Quote:
    Deals 210% of the distance to the target in energy damage and slows the target for 0.5 seconds. The closer the target is, the more it will be slowed down. The maximum slow of 30% can only be reached, if the target is very close to this tower.
  • Icon:
    The icon is already used by this tower.
  • Attack:
    Plz add a normal damage and scale down the abilities. Did the bounce attack work in the current state?
    Other point: @gex:
    Quote:
    -0% damage per bounce
    Should be changed in "equal damage per bounce" or something like that
  • Model:
    I would change the model, so the missle start point is at the fortess top. Perhaps add a sewer which turns in the targets direction. Or just add an shooting energy ball could look like this:

@bounce the bounce attack worked very well cause the damage event is fired in the on damage trigger.
@attack i wont increase the normal towers attack damage because it deals

@Model good idea wasnt pleased with current model either
@icon hum 2 bad i liked it so much but there will be something ^^
